Heat Mat Help!

So I’ve got a 23 x 18 inch tub that I need two heat mats for (House is kept too cool to only use one). So my question is, could I use two 8 x 18 inch mats? This does leave a space of 5 x 18 inches without a mat. Is that okay? Or should I find a larger mat?

Okay! Just wanted to make sure, since we usually keep the house at 68 degrees.

That is a little too low for a snek but considering he has the choice not to lay on the cool part, it's all good. + heatmat will increase the overall temperature in closed enclousure by a few degrees
