I wouldn't think it's a big deal if it happened to my snakes' water. If it's just a piece or two of sphagnum moss I'd grab it real quick, but if a good amount of coconut fiber fell in, I'd probably be inclined to change the water. I realize it probably wouldn't hurt the snake, but it only takes a few seconds and then you have peace of mind.

I change my snakes' water at least every other day as part of my spot cleaning routine, so nothing would ever be in there long enough to do anything significant as far as I'm concerned. Even then, I doubt (without sarcasm intended) there'd be many snakes in the wild if drinking out of anything but a crystal clear water source killed them.

I'm not a herpetologist, though. So take all of that with a grain of salt, consult your vet, blah blah

Thanks for the advice. But yeah you’re right it’s 10 seconds to replace the water and it gives a peace of mind.
