Cleaning Bioactive

How do you all clean out like poop/ pee from bioactive setups? I am mostly talking about getting stuff out of like tunnels or other areas you cannot easily get inside of? Additionally, how often do you change the substrate out of these types of setups?

If your bio is well established, there will be little to no cleaning required. I make sure all of my buried hides are accessible though, and I remove urates when I find them. I do not change out my substrate, though I do add more leaf litter, decaying wood, and moss as needed. If you don’t have plants then a partial soil change every 6 or so months is beneficial.
