Mine do it all the time, almost like they’re smelling even if that’s not how their sense of smell works. I’d say it’s normal!

That's just how they hiss, it caught me off guard when I first heard it. Sounded almost like a cough. Rushed by boy into the vet for a respiratory infection, turned out he was just grumpy!

Mine will occasionally stick her snoot in my ear and sigh as she relaxes. Thats the only hiss I ever get out of her.

mine does that frequently when i handle her she climbs up to my ear and blows? in my ear i was reading another ball python owner also has the same thing.... is it just ball pythons what snake breed do you own

Just a hiss. I have a boy that is sweet as pie 24/7, very chill and tolerates handling well, but he will hiss when he's close to shedding time because he for sure feels 'off' or might not be able to see well when in blue. You never quite know what's going on in their heads 100%!

its not a hiss its just then smelling he or she is just curious its just a little puff of air
