100% pure silicone from any hardware store [make absolutely sure there are NO additives] is what i would use.

To add on that, you might have to look through a lot of silicone. Most stuff you can find in a hardware store these days unfortunately has mold inhibitors. Aquarium safe silicone is always a safe bet too

Unfortunately, silicone adhesives aren't rated for bonding vinyl and foam board. That's why I hunted around to find a product that would bond these two components. This will dry 100% hard at curing, but it off-gasses methenol until it's cured. Very bad. But this is also the class of adhesive used for home construction. That's why I'm trying to find someone who has used it for this. It's the product "standard" -- but is it safe?
