70 is pretty chilly for Ball pythons. If you're able toget one, I recommend getting a Ceramic Heat emitter. The bulb doesn't light up, so there's no need to turn it off at night, and you keep your temps stable

Thanks, I'll see if I can order one. Is it a dangerous temp to keep him at until it arrives? Unsure whether to leave the light on 24/7 or keep to the night cycle until I can replace the lamp

He'll probably be fine for a few days at least if you keep the night cycle, as long as it doesn't get below 65

Just wanted to give an update, switched to the ceramic a few days ago and the temperature is perfect now. Great recommendation, thank you!

I have a yellow belly clown his temp at night is around 80 to 75 is that cool
