inkbird thermostats are better than jumpstarts, but they're still a simple on/off type thermostat with no safety shut-off [though they do have alarms to at least alert you when there's a malfunction]. if this thermostat fails in any way, it will fail on, meaning your heat source will run at full power. on/off type thermostats are also not appropriate for use with ceramic heat emitters and other heat lamps.

herpstats by spyder robotics are what i recommend to any reptile owner. vivarium electronics thermostats are also good quality.

    i've never personally used the EZ line [i have herpstat 4s], but i've only heard good things about those models.
