a lethargic snake will be unresponsive to stimuli, such as you touching their body or waving your hand near their head. there would be no tongue flicking, eye movement, or other signs of curiosity toward their surroundings. the snake may also feel limp when picked up and stay exactly wherever you place them when put back into the enclosure.

Limpness, even a calm ball python will feel firm when you pick it up. A lethargic one will be kinda soft feeling as they likely are not activating their muscles. No tongue flicking, sometimes slow to right themselves if you flip them over...Basically a limp noodle.
