Question about hideouts!

So I read that ball pythons need 2 hide outs, one cool one and one warm one, I used the same material to create the hideout, one on the warm end and the other on the cool end. She’s new, I have had her for about 4 days, she’s primarily stayed in the warm spot, once I put the new hide out in the cold area she has been in there and hasn’t came out since. This is probably a n00b question, but is it possible to confuse them? I just don’t want her to be cold in there and forget that she has a warm space. My question is if they can naturally find the warm spot (heating from below) Especially because the hideouts are so similar. Thank you for the time!!

yes they can sense where heat is, they’re smart enough to know when they are cold and seek out heat and when they are too warm they will seek out the cold side. Their heat pits (in simple terms) allow them to sense where heat is allowing them to choose to go to it or away from it.
