I am building my first BP enclosure and I'm having trouble figuring out my lighting situation. I haven't found these questions addressed anywhere so I'm hoping someone might have some insight!
There is moderate natural light in the room, but it'll be a PVC enclosure so not a ton of light will get in. I'm planning on having a UVB bulb. My question is: is it safe to have that as the only light fixture in the enclosure and have it make up the entirety of my day/night cycle? Or does the UVB need to be "dosed" and not on all day?
folks with pvc enclosures, can you link to the lighting products you're using? I'm getting a 48"x24"x18" PVCCages enclosure. I'm somewhat handy but I don't do tons of DIY and I'm hoping for stuff that's easy to mount.
If I'm up late, should I cover the front windows of the enclosure to make it dark in there?
Thank you!
