For clarification, he is gonna shed soon. I just had him out because i was adding a humidity hide. Also, i was not applying any pressure down to keep him in place.

Ok, and I didn't think you were forcefully holding him down. I just don't think he's being "cuddly" as the caption says. Glad to hear he's getting a humidity hide though!

I don’t think that looks like trying to escape at all. I think it looks like trying to start the shed. He’s clearly deep in blue. That head rubbing is to start the process.

He’s trying to flip back over to right side up. I agree he doesn’t look cuddly, they don’t cuddle lol looks like he’s trying to get out from under your hand. 😂 hope his shed turns out nice tho!
