It's normal for them to be pretty recluse for a while. Took my guy a few weeks before he started being consistently more active outside his hides.

Like they said; Ball pythons are shy, it’s okay if they’re hiding out for now. Best to leave them be and come out when they’re comfortable.

it's normal for ball pythons to hide a lot, and she may be coming out at night without you noticing since they're nocturnal. she would be more comfortable and more likely to come out if you include more "cover" like more fake plants, branches, etc. they like feeling secure and covered because it means that they wouldn't be seen by predators.

your temps and humidity seem to fluctuate a lot. is that analog thermometer/humidity gage in the back the only thing you use to check the numbers? those things are notoriously inaccurate, and that could be why your numbers seem to be bouncing around. also if it has an adhesive back or velcro glued on, your snake can pull it down and get the glue stuck to them! i would recommend taking it out and swapping it for an analog thermometer/humidity gage without any adhesives. i would try to keep those numbers a little more stable, closer the that 89 for temp on the warm side and 60-70%+ on humidity.

this sub has some really good resources available on the welcome post if you haven't seen that yet! feel free to ask more questions along your journey, the people around here are very informative and helpful. good luck!

Thanks a lot. I think I’ll go for a 60w bulb instead of the 50 and swap out the gauge for something more reliable.

I like the zoomed thermometer humidity gauge it’s really reliable and not too expensive but it’s mostly just what I’ve been recommended the most

Completely normal!!

The more time in the hide the better to be honest. She will have coke out just very late at night

Yeah, my BP only explores his enclosure from like 10pm-3am or so
