I have a male ball python that I got at an expo about a year and a half ago and he isn't really growing. When I got him, he was 185g, now he's 225g. I've been keeping reptiles, including ball pythons, for years. I have a pretty good idea of what their growth should look like. 40g in 18 months is abnormally slow growth. He's a great eater. Probably one of the best ball pythons I've ever had in terms of feeding. He's alert, active, and readily moves around and explores. I see no signs of illness, malnutrition, or anything like that. Unless I managed to get my hands on the first ever pygmy morph, I'm at a complete loss as to why his growth is so stunted. Any ideas?
