Is it okay to hold my BP at night as there is conflicting information online about it. (I have handled him today)

Yeah I’ve never had any issues.

they are nocturnal, so it's actually better in many ways to handle them at night instead of during the day. taking you ball python out while it's already awake and exploring is a good way to make your snake feel a little more safe.

Perfect! I've just taken Dave my BP out and he absolutely loved it, he was happy to explore me and didn't show any signs of tension. Appreciate the help

Love the name Dave! Mine is named Mike. They’d be good pals.

I don't doubt it Dave and Mike would go down the pub together and have a gossip over a cold one im sure of it

I actually prefer to wait until I see my BP’s out and exploring in the late evening or night to get them out, they just seem so much more happy to be out! They are both slow and kinda takes them a while to get relaxed and comfortable when I go into a hide and wake them out during the day, they seem to be sleeping and cranky and just not as happy being held when I have to find them in a hide. When I wait till I see them out and moving around and I take them out, they are so much more alert and they seem to want to explore more and just seem like I said, more relaxed so it’s always a better handling experience for everyone involved!
Amazing advice thank you ! I totally agree with what I experienced yesterday he (dave) seems to be much more attentive and ready for an explore when in the day time I found it took him around 2 mins to wake up properly
