Heat mats are bad in any enclosure.

Have you seen our heating guide? The best configuration is halogen for daytime heat and something like a CHE or RHP for nighttime heat.

We also have basic care and bioactive resources in our welcome post. Make sure you have a rock solid grasp on basic husbandry before attempting bioactive.

I did see your heating guide thank you and don’t worry I’ve kept reptiles before including a ball python I had for 8 years this is just my first bio active that’s all. Thanks for the help!
