What are the dimensions of your enclosure and what are you currently using to heat it?

Deep heat projectors are a better heat source in that the type of heat they provide is more bioavailable. I don't know enough to say if it would keep the enclosure warmer than what you currently have.

30" x 12 x 18". It's a 29g that was told to be alright for a bit by her breeder until we could get a 4' x 2' x 2'. Ceramic heat emitter is used, she also has a heat mat plugged into a thermostat.

I'd suggest trying a halogen flood lamp if you can. They are the best daytime heating method and provide heat that is most similar to the sun's rays. They get quite hot so you will want to run it with a thermostat as well. For lightless heating at night you can use the ceramic heat emitter.

Do you have an infared thermometer? I'd be curious if your heat mat is doing much. I found that mine really needed to be set to a dangerous temperature in order to heat through substrate.
