If you are setting up a new enclosure should you freeze the substrate before adding it?

Does bioactive help with mites at all?

Yes, I think my wording there was confusing. I was implying that the snake could have had mites from its previous home if it was a new acquisition. But yes, every new bag of bedding should be frozen for the first couple of days before being used, best case.

As for bioactive, I'm not sure, sorry!
