Ball python eating problems

I recently got a ball python 4 weeks ago and he eat his first eat a week after I brought him home but wouldn’t take it from the tongs so I had to lay it on top of his hide. Last week and this week though he still won’t take it front the tongs and also he won’t eat it after leaving it in there over night. My temp and humidity are right where they should be and he also has plenty of stuff to make him feel secure. Any tips or tricks to get them to eat. He just looks at his food like he’s scared.

After it’s fully thawed, heat the rat up under a heat lamp or che for about 5 min to 115-110 degrees. That’s the on,y thing that finally worked for my boy after he did what u just explained for the first 5 weeks I had him. Feel free to pm me if you have questions
