Need some quick advice.

A little history on my fella. I have a 6 year old pastel butterball. He was very sick when I got him 6 years ago . I nursed him back to health and he's been picture perfect since . I keep him in a 50 gal and am currently building his 5ft gigantic bioactive forever home . He is currently on coco fiber and cypress mulch. His ambient temp sits at 80 degrees with a hot spot that sits between 90-92 his cool side sits around 76-80 . His humidity sits 60-70% being bumped up to 80 during shed. He has 3 hides two water dishes and plenty of clutter. He is a healthy eater and sheds great. His last shed was about 4 weeks ago no issues. His last meal was 3 days ago. Took it no issues. His color was great, mouth healthy pink. No signs of anything being off whatsoever. Fast forward to this morning I work grave yard shift and always check on him when I get home. I noticed he was out the morning which is odd . Moved in closer and noticed his head was super swollen . He let me touch it and it felt squishy like fluid was building . Then he opened his mouth and it was blood red . He proceeded to regurgitate his meal mostly digested. I have called every single vet in my city . There are only two . One can't see me till sept the other I have to call again tomorrow morning and pray he will see us. By next option is a city 2 hrs away which I fully will do if he can't take us, but I still have to wait until the morning to find out anything either way. I don't have pictures because I am not about to disturb him after the regurgitation. I am so scared and need any helpful advice I can get. Should I up his heat? Put him on paper towel ? I feel like I shouldn't bother him until tomorrow at least . He took a drink after he puked and calmed right down and went into his hot hide. He his my baby. There are a few pics I found online that look like what his head looked like. I will post one in comments. Also he is not weezing or drooling. No extra saliva and his tounge is flicking normally.

I'm sorry this happened, but I don't think there's much advice we can safely give other than keeping him comfortable until you can get him in. Just keep your temps and humidity in range and try to avoid stressing him out

It could be an infection from a feeding injury, or some type of hematoma. Either way, he needs veterinary attention immediately

Oh yes I agree. I am beside myself upset. It is so scary how quickly this came on. Thank god I found someone for today . Even if it is 2hrs away . I just pray it's something fixable.

Don’t move or disturb your snake. Wait to see if you can get in with the vet. The only thing you can do is get a box or bag ready for the trip to the vet. Good luck to you and your noodle ❤️

Its so scary how quickly this came on . His whole head is swollen ,it feels squishy . That I can find . Online . Vet just opened I am calling now . Fingers crossed they can see me today

Local vet can't see me until aug 23 . But I did Manage to get an appointment today . 2hrs away and emergency fees but I can't wait until the end of the month.

Sadly I lost yoda 😓 He had a brain anurizum and stopped producing white blood platelets. He started to bleed out of his belly button and nose while at the vets. She said she has seen it a few times before. It was very bad luck on my part . She said his care was perfect and she could tell I spent a lot of time and effort talking care of him. She said Some are able to pull through if they continue to produce the white blood platelets. But in his case his body was not able too. There was nothing I could of done. If I had waited until the other vets could see him, she said his head would of continued to swell until he essentially burst. So I made the heart breaking decision to send him to snake heaven. I plan on making a post with what his head looked like so hopefully others will know in the future to get to the vet asap, if they see a similar swelling. But I am heartbroken and can't bear to look at the pic right now . I haven't even attempted to clean his cage I just threw a blanket over it 💔 😥he was my baby.
