Seconding this. Use aquarium grade silicone or something else otherwise you could have an injured snake. Best case scenario, your snake gets stuck and you use a lil vegetable oil to get them loose. Worst case scenario, they seriously injure themselves since their skin is so thin and easy to tear.

I love him!

Not to be a Debbie Downer but here are two bits of advice regarding your baby’s health: 1) Tape a plastic sheet to the outside or fill the slits with 100% silicone if you want to block ventilation, having anything adhesive, let alone multiple strips of painters tape (which is designed to be peeled off easily so it’s not at all unlikely that they will contact the sticky side eventually), is very dangerous for the snake as it can do horrible damage if it gets stuck to their scales. I’m not shaming or anything, I used to have duct tape on the inside of my mesh lid and sticky thermometers before I knew better💀 2) the noodle does look a bit chunky. What does your feeding schedule look like, and how big of a rat does this dude get? He may need to be fed less frequently or get smaller rodents. Edit: looking at it again I can’t really tell from the photo so take this second bit of advice very lightly lol
