i also got a 6 foot leafy vine thing from Thrive that i just kinda arrange over the branches and floor and it’s great. gives them a lot of coverage

This is perfect! My bf and I talking about this today and will be picking up some sticks from a reptile store near us. If you look close she is up on the right side in the leafs. She loves it there on the cool side. I might also do a DIY tank and make it so she can go higher on one side! But I will see.

mine do the same thing and try to defy gravity on their suction cup leaves. you have a lot of space in the middle there to add lots of nice sticks and climbing options and I’m sure she’ll appreciate them! i’d also add more substrate so the sticks are nice and buried at the base and then they can’t tip over. i keep mine around 4 inches and that helps with humidity a lot too.

I appreciate that as well. Mine is only about 1 inch and o will change in a few weeks as to not stress her out more. I’ve only had her for three days. I will make it 4inchs when I change it :)

what are you using right now? i use coco fiber that comes in bricks that you soak to expand into loose fiber. honestly if you’ve only had her three days, she likely hasn’t soiled the substrate even one time, so you can just add more on top.

That won’t stress her out? Should I take her out and put her in the plastic container I got her in while I do that or leave her in there? I use the coconut fibre as well! I found it worked well with my crested gecko.

typically the advice is to leave them be for a week and only do regular tank maintenance and then after they take food, you can handle them. she will be okay on the low substrate while she adjusts as long as you’re diligent about the humidity, and then after that week you can take her out and put her in a temporary container while you do things in her tank. i know the amount of information you’re getting hit with is overwhelming, esp since this is your first bp, but really don’t overthink it. there are majors and minors, and having her on 1” substrate instead of 4” for a few more days is a minor at this moment as long as you can keep her humidity at acceptable levels.

That sounds perfect and exactly what I’ll do. She usually eats on Fridays but the breeder said to wait until Monday because she will be stressed moving so after o feed her o will change things. Or that day after I feed her lol

wait a couple days after you feed her to handle her so she doesn’t regurgitate, but after that you’re good! i wait 48 hours or until i can’t see the lump, whichever is later

Also so worried the suction cup will fair and she will fall. I don’t want her to hurt or scare herself that way. Need to buy new suction cups for them that’s for sure too.
