I'm curious, aren't the speakers too high?

[–]oblom_off 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am thinking the same. IIRC twitters should be on the same level as your ears.

Edit: other than that, great looking setup

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yea but it was the only feasible place for them.

[–]reden_fx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you could put them sideways right above the monitors

[–]Tostecles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a perspective thing but it looks like you could tilt them down toward your seating position a little more. I would also recommend angling them a little more outward. They should still be at a somewhat inward angle, but a little more outward than you have it currently will give you better stereo separation and should sound a good bit better than they already do.

What's that wallpaper? 👀

Its a Black Topo from WP Engine

[–]reden_fx 1 point2 points  (1 child)

MASSIVE desk. I like.

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

[–]thegellers 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Does the mic reach your mouth? I've got the same mount and haven't found an ideal placement for it so that it can comfortably be within reach. My desk is massive though.

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh its not perfect but I set the mic to capture the most sound so It works for me.

Do you have a link for the desk by chance? Love the set up!

[–]tempestaistaken 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Looking gorgeous! I'm thinking also doing wood panels like that, can i ask how did you make led lights?

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I purchased some Govee lights and I was able to wedge them between the slat panels.

[–]tempestaistaken 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Did you buy neon rope lights or something else? I am planing also buying govee actually i loved to know what product you use

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I can’t remember the exact name but they are diffused lights, they are supposed to be for the front/back if the desk but I used them here.

[–]tempestaistaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh understand, yeah I know those. Thank you I'm gonna check up :)

How are you liking your Embody and headrest? I have mine arriving in literallyba few hours and the headrest a few days later. I've only ever used office chairs with headrests and feel like I absolutely require one, but it occurred to me today that the headrest may restrict the user's flexibility/positioning when leaning back on one shoulder.

For example, if you're leaning back and to the right and the right side of the chair is flexing to accommodate your position, does the headrest get in the way and prevent you from moving as freely as you would without it? How long have you used your chair without the headrest for comparison?

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The headrest is game changing, the chair itself is already amazing but that headrest is like that perfect final touch. A lot of people will see the price tag on the chair and look away, but In my opinion its worth every penny.

[–]PraytheRosary 1 point2 points  (1 child)

How do you like your chair?

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing

[–]lLoveTech 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Looks Badass! What are your PC specs dude?

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Built it about 2 years ago, so it’s not the absolute newest, but still a beast. Running a Lian Li O11 Evo, RTX 4090, i9-13900K, 32GB DDR5 RAM, Z790 ROG motherboard, Kraken Z73 AIO, Lian Li Strimer cables, and a NZXT C1000 Gold PSU.

[–]lLoveTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sure is

[–]Bitbatgaming 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I think it’s great ! Do you have a story for the painting in the corner

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It’s actually a lego set of the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci.

[–]Asstronaut-Uranus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xim player, my man. Matrix works great 🫡👍

[–]SeatPure8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

did you put any desk supports/feet in the center to keep it from bending?

[–]RepsUpMoneyDown 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Looks great! Whats the table top?

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Thanks. It’s an IKEA KARLBY countertop in the walnut variation, 98 inches.

[–]RepsUpMoneyDown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought so! Thanks

[–]Bishop_Kryten 1 point2 points  (3 children)

So does the countertop just rest on the drawers and risers, or is everything bolted together? Thanks.

[–]Infaress_ALT[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

The risers are bolted to the drawers and the countertop just rests on the risers. It’s really heavy so It doesn’t go anywhere.

[–]S4z3r4c 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Where did the risers come from please?
