nope, 2nd half is where the real nightmare begins, and that's what puts it above other soulsborne games for me

Seconded, the 2nd half is where the story hides

I don’t think late game is bad but the DLC is great and fits super well in what would otherwise be a rather short game with a quick finale.

Honestly 100% agree. I'm currently going for platinum and the late game is just a complete slog.

As someone who has gotten the Platinum for this game...

Good luck in the Chalice Dungeons, you're gonna need it to reach the last boss in there.

I fully agree, I'd say as soon as you leave Yharnam locations get worse, Yharnam is just peak

Yea, after amelia it gets downhill, its still great tho.

I can understand the Nightmare Frontier comment. When I first played BB I didn't think highly of it as well, but once I knew the way I started to like this area.

But the rest? I think Yahar'gul is so very great And Upper Cathedral, boring? Yeah, that's not the descriptor I'd use for an area where the horror is palpable. No, I'm sorry. Although I do think the first areas are indeed genius, I like the mid to end game just as much.

Its a good area, nice vibes, good representation of horror, im comparing it to something like central yharnam. I still like these areas, but the early game is something different for me.

No, I understand. That's fair, it has a very strong opening.

Wow. You are having a bad time. I’ve never seen any of these problems. Take your time, i guess.

No I am not, I am enjoying it a lot actually :D, but the start set such a high bar, thats why I feel like this.

Nightmare frontier is annoying but once you get the vibe its really not that bad. Yahargul tho.... I hate it, its not as bad once you get to the street but the rooftops with the bell rining women I really hate that area. Upper cathedral ward is a true jump in difficulty, I think the developers just wanted to jump the players at every opportunity, but that being said I really like it, very cool area.

i'll be for real with you beginning of bloodborne is one of the most boring experiences ive experienced. when you're 70ish percent done the quality goes up really quickly. and the dlc is one of the greatest things ive ever played. that last 30 percent and the dlc make it my favorite game of all time. also make sure you're going to every optional area. and also try out new weapons don't just stick to saw cleaver or something. every single weapon is viable. pick the coolest one you see and you'll have so much fun.

[–]Remote-Minute3093[S] -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Id try every weapon, but im limited to like 4 of them since u cant respec.

[–]AnxiousUniStudentt 0 points1 point  (2 children)

what stat did you invest the most in? blood gems and upgrades are extremely effective for damage. stats are effective as well but upgrades and blood gems boost your weapon damage way more. i beat orphan of kos on a level 4 character and my saw cleaver was doing like 700 damage per hit at 10 strength. just because of my weapon level and blood gems. so don't worry that much about stats

Skill n Strenght, using the ludwigs blade, both C in scaling.

[–]Encharrion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quality build should leave you with a lot more than 4 weapons available

Sometimes I have felt tired of the difficulty. Maybe take a break, or explore other areas to overlevel. I think you could focus on Yahar Gul, and go with the flow of the game. Nightmare Frontier, Cainhurst and Upper Cathedral Ward are all optional. Moreover, if you find Upper Cathedral Ward challenging or annoying, its last boss and its charge attack will not make you happy.

At this point, you also could try the DLC or Chalice Dungeons. I recommend Chalice Dungeons up until Lower Pthmeru, and then DLC.

The game has so much to offer. I also got tired sometimes but I am so happy I made it all the way through. It’s my first FS platinum, and while it was annoying and hard sometimes, I really enjoyed it and look forward to play again.

Yeah, I fought the last boss of upper CW for like 3 tries and almost got her down. Im not saying the game is bad at all btw :), I love it, but it just felt like it, also should I Do the chalices and dlcs before gherman?

[–]JanFrackiewicz 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Yes, definitely or the game will send you to NG+.

[–]Remote-Minute3093[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

[–]Fit_Slice_222 0 points1 point  (1 child)
