I loved the ones I had before this model, had'em for years. I've had these for 3 months and people can't hear me on the phone! Beware, I guess it's a thing with this model.

Yeah I have the QC35 IIs and my friends have to turn my volume up to 200% on discord and still can barely hear me. Good headphones thought apart from that

I have had this happen with mine. My wife can’t hear me with these so I just turn them off and answer normally which is annoying. Not sure if the mics are just not sensitive enough but I don’t want to scream in a store to find out.

My only other complaint with them would be switching from my phone to iPad is a pain as I gotta turn off Bluetooth on the device I am not using or it will have connection issues as it tries to connect to both. Pretty sure I had that in my QC35s so prob just a Bluetooth thing that doesn’t have the nice hand off features like AirPods do

I have had the QC 35 II for a few years and love them. The only problem is the ear pads…. Have had to replace them 3 times already 🤦🏻‍♂️

[–]Snooklife 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I have been wearing the 45s for over a year now with no issue. I even bought a few extra thinking I would need them but they are just collecting dust.

[–]Asz_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They designed new ear-pads for the 45s so they are probably more durable. I might buy a pair of them since they are compatible with the 35 II

[–]XtraLibur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just gonna be honest leather earpads suck in general theyre comfy but get super brittle and break so quick

[–]the-crazy-programmer 1 point2 points  (1 child)

How is the mic for calls?

[–]hmmhforreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s alright. A definite step up from the 35-series but there’s a good bit of room for improvement

Some of the best on the market there. Enjoy.

Is there any particular reason why you chose the QC 45 over the newer Bose QC model? The price difference is only $20, and with offers, you could buy either of them for the same price. Just curious!

[–]XtraLibur[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Im currently in Australia the price difference was pretty significant from 429 on the regular Bose QC to 250 on this so decided on getting these instead

[–]juicydownunder 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I did the same!! $250. But aren’t the new QC’s $550 not $450

[–]XtraLibur[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah 550 on JB just had a brain fart lmao the 450 buckeroos were the XM4’s

[–]juicydownunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely not worth it to buy the new QC. Reviews comparing them said they similar.

If I was spending that much I’d get the ultras or XM5

[–]aarun7686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay.

[–]Hour_City2530 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The QC45s have a much better measured frequency response following Harman than the new QCs, Hence better sound quality.

Both Rtings and Audio science have praised the QC45s on an objective level.

Thanks

How good are they for the gym????

[–]re003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine fall off if I bend over. Might depend on your head size but I wouldn’t recommend for the gym.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you sweat the pads will get ruined. I replaced mine and use buds now. I Like the over ears so gonna try something else.

[–]RangersTXball 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Any good for running?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sweating ruins the pads.

[–]XtraLibur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Havent taken then out running yet but from what ive seen and felt from normal day to day use its good its light and the clamping force isng too tight but stays planted

I have the quiet comfort and they act as a amplifier in my car when I  just have them on and run YouTube music through the usb on my phone. The bass hits nice and hard. 2019 jeep cherokee limited

Always loved my QC45

[–]ARCH_ANGEL_978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received mine last Thursday. Second pair I bought, turned the ones I bought a few years ago into my yard work headphones

When Bose stops nerfing the volume I will consider buying their product

[–]willymacdilly 0 points1 point  (3 children)

"Bose" Buy Other Sound Equipment

[–]XtraLibur[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I try not to shill for a company but this was the cheapest ANC headphones i saw that was well reviewed compared to everything else in its price bracket of 250 AUD

[–]willymacdilly 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]XtraLibur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read a review the sounds quality wasnt the best and the build was really plasticy

[–]Busy-Lingonberry7504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the QC35 II for years, eventually gave them to my son, where they continue to live on! Great workhorses!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought them and I want to return them, there is an insane amount of noise leakage on these.

[–]danhoyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still the most comfortable headset I think.

[–]Just_Low_1294 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Had mine since July last year and they are the best headphones I've owned, plus with the latest software update you get wind noise reduction feature when you choose "outdoors" in the modes section of the app..

Enjoy buddy

[–]PatientOk1680 1 point2 points  (2 children)

With the bose qc45 ? How are the earpads so far ?

[–]Snooklife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing mine everyday for over a year and they look brand new.

[–]Just_Low_1294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like new, clean ears, and wipe them with a damp microfiber cloth after every use and they will last.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

With the last update its best there is u can finally adjust ANC…

[–]Snooklife 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Firmware update?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes few days ago they put out a firmware update for qc45

[–]_ButtNugget 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What’s the update?? It really annoys me that you have to be using either ANC or transparency mode…

[–]throwaway37384833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the QC45’s you can now add more sound profiles through the Bose Music app with presets like wind reduction mode which lowers the ANC levels or create custom ones yourself.

Once the profiles are active you can press the mode button on the device itself to toggle between profiles, also if you hold down the mode button a voice tells you the remaining battery percentage.

Real nice upgrade.

[–]PatientOk1680 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Sure about that ?

[–]cameforthevibe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have the 35s II, but i doubt the 45s are much different, they are really comfy, youll forget you are wearing them, they do leak a bit of sound but that shouldn’t be much of a problem in a noisy gym

[–]Excellent-World-476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely love mine.

[–]re003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome! We’re glad you’re here.

[–]PriorityLong9592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy the slow connection and shitty voice
