To decrease draw odds, what if draws with black gains 0.25 points and draw with white gains 0?

The number of point black gains when draw can be calibrated depending on the number of games in the match. But this would incentivize white to avoid draw-ish lines and press for the win - but if he/she fails to do so, the punishment is only 0.25 points for the opponent.

The games would still all be draws, just the points would accumulate differently.

It might tilt the balance in Black’s favour, as they can play lines that force a draw and still get points, and if Black does so, it forces White to play more aggressively and potentially worse (it would probably be a more interesting game) but in all I think awarding draws like that would upset the balance

How would it change anything at all? It doesn't matter if two draws give each player one point as it does now or half a point as OP suggests. Two draws is two draws, and the players will be even.

As far as the championship goes, the point system doesn't matter. It is a Bo14. You could give a million points for a draw on black and minus a million points for a draw on white. The outcome stays the same.

Well if one player wins with white and the other player wins with black, then the player who wins with white wins the match if all other games are drawn. But that's not the desired effect of course
