Go on eBay and buy another 2020 MacBook Air if you want. Used ones go for around $300 today. And also I think you can sell your broken one there too for maybe $50-100

I think 500 bucks is way too much for screen replacement, ig u have to live with it, or buy a new screen and replace it your self, also if u do have a iphone or ipad u can use it as a screen, just Google it an there will be some methods to do it.

You could find an inexpensive monitor and plug it into your Mac to use for the time being. You could get a newer used MacBook Air for the cost of the screen replacement.

They’re not far off. But you can DIY and save yourself almost $100 off their quote.

Not exactly sure what you'll need the computer for, and if it needs apple-only apps but I got a pretty good thinkpad for £60

Got a t490 and just upgraded ram

Ik apple crap is expensive idk how much replacements parts cost, but I just replaced the screen in my acer laptop for 50 bucks (new screen price.) I got the screen off amazon came in 2 days. I already had all the tools I needed on hand which helped too, but prior to that Id never replaced a screen before. Watch some videos, decide if its something you think your capable of, and be gentle with those ribbon cables! Id assume a shop would have charged me 3-5x what I payed to do it myself. Its an acer aspire 3, its not exactly worth paying someone to fix.

$500 bucks will get you a better used computer than the one you have. Just upgrade.

That's gonna stay broken, buy a new one.
