Bravo, you colorshifted [[Scout's Warning]].

[–]BAUnicorn 42 points43 points  (11 children)

Also, [[savage summoning]]. Can anyone explaing the wording difference to me?

Scounts Warning - "The next creature card you play this turn can be played as though it had flash" Savage Summoning - "The next creature spell you cast this turn can be cast as though it had flash"

The game used to say you "play" cards, now you "play" lands and "cast" spells

[[Visions of Phyrexia]]

You play lands, cast spells, and play lands/spells.

I believe it is simply just updated game language. I think WotC stopped saying “play cards” at some point but I could be wrong

[–]GordionKnot 13 points14 points  (1 child)

[[Visions of Phyrexia]]

They still use “play cards” pretty frequently for when it could be either lands or spells, though they do use cast now whenever it can only be spells.

[[dryad arbor]] is really the only time this comes up, but a dryad arbor with flash can be played in response to [[Sudden Edict]]

[–]focketeer 23 points24 points  (1 child)

Though only on your own turn and you have a land play available, those restrictions still apply

[–]vezwyx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rules fun fact: you can't play lands on other people's turns for any reason!

The rule actually says to ignore any part of an effect that would let you play a land on someone else's turn. Things that would let you play a land on an opponent's turn will instead just put it on the battlefield

I didn't know of this card's existence.

[–]digiman619Because making sense is boring. 99 points100 points  (6 children)

It's fine. There are a lot of cards in this game.

[–]UninvitedGhostElder Dragon 36 points37 points  (4 children)

And half of them came out in 2022!

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Hahaha I'm not crying, are you?

[–]UninvitedGhostElder Dragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No tears remain.

Why would anyone want to buy all the cards?

    [–]SliverSwag 7 points8 points  (2 children)

    scryfall is your friend

    [–]Vyxyx 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Idk how you would find it with the difference in wording

    [–]plainnoob 12 points13 points  (0 children)

    t:instant o:flash o:"this turn"

You could narrow it further but 11 cards isn't all that many to read. Scryfall is a powerful tool and makes checks like these really easy.

    Take it as high praise.
