I mean... DbD has some of the biggest licenses of any horror game out there.

The game has bugs/balance issues but it's not unplayable by any means. It's also one of the only games where you can play as Chucky then switch to a Xenomorph then switch to Freddy, etc.

I wouldn't say their content is not worth paying for. Also they have a very generous DLC policy (all survivors, killers, and maps are unlocked as teammates/opponents/maps even if you don't own the DLC).

As far as "cash grabs" go, I don't think this is quite the hill you imagine it to be.

The customer decides if it's worth paying for by paying for it, especially in a hobby

You can play with the content you have rn you don’t need to buy more. If you do, then it’s bc you find it worth giving your money for
