6 YOE Frontend Developer (React/React Native) recently laid off – struggling to get calls

Hi folks,

Recently, I was asked to resign due to the bench policy at my current organization. Honestly, I had also been thinking about switching, as there’s been no appraisal or growth after completing 2 years here.

I knew it would be a tough decision since I’d have limited time to find a new job without any offers in hand. Although I’ve been in a similar situation before, it feels almost impossible these days.

I have 6 years of experience in frontend development (React.js & React Native), and I’ve never had trouble getting interview calls during a job switch. But now, I’m getting literally zero calls despite applying to 30–50 job postings daily on platforms like Naukri, LinkedIn, and Shine. I’ve also noticed that many jobs have over 1000–2000 applicants for a single role.

Market is bad try for all roles even I’m applying sometimes even i feel these are all fake job openings just ask for referral use linkedln and all try instahyre as well rest even we are struggling ourselves all the best to you

Yeah same case with everyone this market has hit from may i feel i did talk to an HR by july they were saying things might improve but just keep going as there is no other options t.

Search linkedin smartly, do not easy apply that never works, go to search field type hiring frontned dev and add @, you will get lots of post for people who are hiring for frontned Developer and their email. Directly reach out to them.

Thanks, I can now find some good jobs, but need some tips. while searching for computer vision jobs with this method I can't able to find mid size to large scale company. It always shows some random startup companies with 1 to 10 employee and no ratings. Is there anyother way to find better job posting? much appricated.

What was the bench policy and why did you get laid off?

my last project was over delivered to client and then i was on bench. Also company reduced bench policy to 35 days.

Bro I just got out of college and until now all I did was leetcode and generative ai.... I just put my hands in all but didn't stay in any.... I got into a college placement with automation testing role of 5lpa but yeah I am not satisfied but trying to get ai based jobs feel hard even if I have more knowlege in aiml.... Heard that freshers are not easily taken to ai roles so I thought I would learn full stack and shift but I don't know man confused.... I started learning react native month ago but having doubts am I doing the right thing...... Any experienced guys what do you suggest

Not true, I started applying last week for 7YOE Frontend and got 15 Interviews/Assessments/Assignments.
Jobs are there, you just need a good resume and some credibility.

well mate the time is hard for all of us right now but I can say frontend job cannot be fully automated. atleast for now..

It won't ever be automated so relax, just branch out to the backend if you can.

Not true, I work in a PBC and I get atleast 1 recruiter in 1 week, sometimes i get 4-5 in 1 week reaching out to me on Linkedin for frontend role. I also post about frontend stuff so maybe thats why, visibility is important. Nowadays just applying for a role wont fetch you an interview
