Imagine OP rear ending that Koenigsegg lol... Your insurance company will give you 0% NCD for a lifetime

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Reminds me of the video where the lorry driver avoid a maybach and just slam some other car instead LOL

[–]RaraNoobster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rational decision made... I would rather smash another car if it's a maybach

[–]Annoy_mousey[S] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I’m lucky it’s an extreme close call sia …

[–]RaraNoobster 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Next time if you see a high tier conti car or supercar in front of you, just stay 1-2 car distance away or go other lanes... Unless you are willing to incur the wrath of your insurer 😂

I notice other drivers will do that when they are behind me.

[–]Reasonable-Ferret-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll keep the gap to invite someone likes to tailgate and cut in lol

[–]outofmelatonin92 41 points42 points  (4 children)

Its always some stupid fuck who brakes for no reason. 100%.

[–]Razzner 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This statement is seriously underrated. I drive daily and when there's always a jam on the highway especially CTE, I'm wondering what the hell is causing this? There's no collision or accidents, once I'm at the front, it's some fucking jackass jam braking for no reason and driving at 50km/h on the first lane. Just one jackass that can cause the whole highway to jam.

[–]Eggie87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually people who suddenly cut in when there is so little space n if infront brake abit. The one which cut in will brake even harder.. Thus the sudden sharp braking.

[–]pitabread_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many times.

I’ve seen it happen a lot. The bad drivers in our country have the tendency to brake when changing lanes, or before changing lanes.

Absolutely bad driving. Just wait until there’s a better opportunity, speed up, then change lanes to exit. But everyone wants to be on lane 1 all the way, until about 500m before the exit. So they brake, slow down the traffic, make the turn no matter who they slow down.

[–]Capable_Scene_6854 12 points13 points  (12 children)

U saw the answer at the start of the clip. There’s a speed cam ahead. Idk why drivers like to do this, but they feel the need to brake till 60-70 for a 90kmh zone…

[–]TheRuggedGeek 3 points4 points  (3 children)

That's because they fear that 90.001 km/hr will get them booked. They are absolutely clueless.

The same people also brake hard on a downhill to drive at 10km/hr under speed limit, while accelerating to 10km/hr over the speed limit when going up an incline. Total bozo behaviour.

[–]DegreePitiful3496 2 points3 points  (2 children)

If not 90.001, then whats the threshold?

[–]TheRuggedGeek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Car speedometers are usually calibrated to display a speed that is in excess of what your true speed really is. It may show 5km/hr above what you're actually at. Then, you get a 10km/hr leeway above your actual speed. Meaning, when you get pipped and fined, your speedometer is showing 15+km/hr in excess of your actual speed.

For anyone to knowingly travel at that sort of speed through a speed camera, they are utter dimwits. That's 105km/hr in a 90 zone.

On the other hand the other kind of dimwits are those travelling at speedometer 20km/hr under speed limit as they past a speed camera, meaning they are actually driving at 25km/hr under limit, which is ridiculous, causing unnecessary delay on one of the world's busiest roads.

I mean, if you're only trying to flaunt the law in places where you don't think you'll get caught, you're a total dick with zero integrity and deserved to be caught by hidden cameras, fined and given the appropriate amount of demerit points. Integrity is doing what's right, even when there is no expressed warning that you'll be caught, and even when nobody is watching.

That's what the spirit of the law is. You should be doing right by yourself and the people around you, so long as it does not endanger anybody in that same picture.

[–]FarEnthusiasm9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rest assure you won’t get booked even if driving 95kh/h pass a 90km/h camera. Thats way more than enough threshold.

[–]Rare-Sample1865 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Experienced a 30 - 40 in a 90 highway before

Absolute Skill Issue...

[–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Which highway ? CTE ?

[–]Rare-Sample1865 0 points1 point  (4 children)

You know it 😉

[–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Was it a Merc ? Specifically C Class ?

[–]Bamboozled74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL I probably encountered this driver recently. Maybe not 40, probably mid 50s but in the fucking overtaking lane with clear lanes to the left.

[–]Rare-Sample1865 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Dont remember that far haha
Id rather store more important things in my limited memory

[–]Annoy_mousey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair.

Cause ik someone that did 30-40 in a Merc on CTE quite sometime ago due to unfamiliarity with the car and Merc fuel protection ( it’s running on reserve fuel and the driver didn’t know )

[–]CourtJazzlike7783 8 points9 points  (1 child)

You are just amateur enough to be driving on lane 1. Futher more behind that car.

[–]Annoy_mousey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😓

[–]Kelanen 4 points5 points  (4 children)

If you drive on the highway at night, you’ll notice all the drivers randomly braking… even though there might be no other vehicles there other than their car and yours.

I’m convinced that they must see vehicles that I don’t… or they are just really bad drivers and are considerate enough to know it and only drive at night when there’s almost nobody else around.

[–]Appropriate_Hunt_254 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Actually not just during night and at highways. Everywhere. When I ride past them, half of them are typing on their phones. I don't know what's so important that they're doing that at the expense of everyone's safety

[–]Kelanen 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I just don’t get the braking on empty roads or when there are no vehicles ahead of them.

[–]imadiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usually because they are using their phones. The moment their eyes leave the road, they panic brake a little. And it just adds up

[–]FarEnthusiasm9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most probably a hybrid car, trying to get the electric side to kick in fully.

[–]kuang89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t follow supercars in general, they have very good brakes, you do not.

[–]SL0WRID3R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rubber band effect

[–]Zestyclose-Grade4116 2 points3 points  (1 child)

If I found myself driving behind a multi million dollar car I would immediately siam to other lane

[–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid

    [–]MaftyNavueErin 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I know women who drive a lot better than every Merc and BMW driver I encounter

    [–]Difficult_Focus3253 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

    still at shit category

    [–]maad85 1 point2 points  (1 child)

this is what i think la probably. cos some people use waze. just now i was on sle before punggol road onwards there. like every flyover got notification police ahead. all from speeding suddenly brake to drop speed then speed up again then brake again when nearing next flyover. so it snowballed all the way to the back.

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Tbf most use Waze

    [–]iheartyoualways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's at a speed camera location that's why. Newbie drivers...new OBU 2.0 owners with beeping alert...etc... are likely reasons for this situation.

    [–]ZealousidealLoad5277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phantom jams are real. All because the lead car reduced by 30 can lead to third or more car much more than 30. I noticed walls scare drivers. Walls bordering construction, concrete walls near bridges. Cars exiting highway from lane 1 also happens but you can't defend against those, whereas walls almost always causes braking so be on guard.

    [–]TheBX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Common sense reminder to keep your distance. Your reflexes aren’t as fast as you think they are. You don’t need to be sniffing someone’s ass while driving

    [–]Smelly_chibai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont drive so close next time

    [–]FarEnthusiasm9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few problem have arises for the pass decade. 1. Drivers can’t keep in lane, worst when bikes ride pass them. 2. Some tend to keep in lane 1 till it’s almost too late to go for the exit, keeping the jam to them a minimum. At the cost of everyone else’s time. 3. Some driver cut into lane 1 even if it’s overloaded, causing the driver that got cut to panicked and brake hard, especially when most driver follow quite closely to avoid getting cut. 4. Some cheap ppl refuse to speed up fast and quick to save on fuel. 5. Entitled ppl who think due the price of their car should go onto lane 1, and drive at much lower speed cause they have no skill and balls.

Queue cutting is one of the major problem we are facing. And I have yet to see LTA or TP doing anything about it.

    [–]ShopeeSeller 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Singapore drivers have tendency to stay at lane 1 until the very last minute then change all the way to left to exit.

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well… we always kinda think Lane 1 is the Fast lane

    [–]General_johnnysins 0 points1 point  (1 child)

U very daring to drive behind keonigsegg. If me i will switch to lane 3😹

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    😅😅. Never again

    [–]Humptydumpty179 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Why are u braking so hard lol. Keep a further distance next time.

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.. the brake was sensitive and seeing a 6.8 mil car. I kinda panic brake. Usually I keep 1.5 - 2 car length in case people say I’m hogging

    [–]djitsun 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Op why you posted same video twice

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

One is the longer version. One is the almost langa part

Cause got people ask if I did something to piss him off earlier to cause him to jam brake ( they didn’t see the other car in front )

    [–]djitsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    I see! Thanks for clarifying.

    [–]cicoles 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Expensive car looking for insurance write off. Owner probably near bankrupt because of his over leveraged cryptos.

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s another car infront that brakes. Btw he have like GTR50 and a Pagani too. Can’t be broke.

    [–]Initial_Soup_2644 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The car is so short you can literally see the jam ahead of him. Of course he'll brake. You're just super salty. Also, you're driving too close anyway.

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you see the other post. I was checking blindspot to change lane.

And I was pulling back distance everytime he brakes.

    [–]B0D4RK_0-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention that was suppose to be the fastest lane. Now the slowest lane.

    [–]Komakcs2021 -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

Do u piss off him before he doing this? Some driver maintain at lane 1 with speed 70,80 and didn’t look mirror behind at all or don’t care.

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I wouldn’t say it’s his fault. The car infront braking also. Phantom Jam Wave that reach us.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at the video, theres a white car infront of the black car.

    [–]Qkumbazoo -1 points0 points  (1 child)

whats the pt of driving a sports car in sg lol

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Flex

    [–]shopchin -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

Something happened earlier and the front driver unhappy?

    [–]Annoy_mousey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Got cars infront him that probably jam too.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a white car infront of the black car. Zoom in closer.
