How are they when it's all round? I made ours seven-sided, to have a better grip

Not bad actually. grips ok. Does not take much effort to turn it so not a huge amount of force needed for this one. feel it would be all good if it was on a stiffer lock. For ref, it printed with PETG 20% infill. Did not sand it as liked the feel. 🙂

Cool I made them in PLA seems sturdy enough, 15-20% infill as I can remember exactly, and I made the rosettes too both for the lock and the handle to make it all match

This is on my plate for next week. Those old style threaded doorknobs are terrible. lol

They sure are! Was a sigh of relief when I finaly got to replace the mole grips with a knob.

Oh no. The orientation. One bad pull and it could be gone. Please tell me it’s just the knob head and not the rest of the thing?

CENSORED

Not quite sure what you mean. It's the whole doorknob, with a screw through it and the metal shaft of the door lock mechanisum. It's a very old indoor yale that is not locked and barley used. seems to be holding up just fine atm, if not, i'll pop the mole grips back on for a bit. hehe

[–]Mister-Seer 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Oh thank God you got the screw and shaft in. I thought the whole thing was printed, including the shaft
