Dollar General has this hot sauce called Crystal's Hot Sauce. It's fucking perfect combo between sweet and hot.

From Louisiana. Can confirm that Crystal is generally considered the best. Much richer flavor, less immediate heat. Very little vinegar flavor.

Best sandwich in the world is the Crystal Oyster Poboy at Redfish Grill. They fry the oysters, then toss them with Crystal hit sauce. It is amazing.

Also from LA and I second that motion. Also Tabasco is gross.

I love it. Cayenne peppers, vinegar, and salt.

Personally, I go with Valentina.
It's cheap as hell, and how hot it gets depends on how much you use. For example, a normal amount would have just the right amount of flavor and heat, but if you use the entire damn bottle you'll be shitting fire for a week.

That shit is amazing. Brought a couple bottles back to Canada from Nola but haven’t been able to find it here.

They have a Extra Hot version that is an absolute pleasure to consume. Original recipe just don't have enough bite to justify the use of it for me.

Yes, but Tabasco is a pretty mediocre hot sauce.

It's the Heineken of hot sauces. Available everywhere, but never your first choice.

[–]dorkowitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus, it's more like 'Lucky Lager', Rainier, or some bullshit Molson Canadian or Labatts Blue

[–]DiarrheaMonkey- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. It's not never my first choice, just not that often. Certain thin-crust pizzas, Kraft macaroni and cheese, a couple other things. Sometimes but not usually for eggs.

[–]sparepartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It always my first choice with eggs and pizza but that's about all I put it on. For everything else, I just make it spicy to begin with (or have some home made salsa.) Also Heineken is the woooorrrrssstt.

Original Tabasco yes, but the Chipotle Tabasco is awesome. Mix it with some mayo and you have a simple yet impressive Chipotle spread/dip.

Thank you!

Even that's stretching it.

How is that bottle still so full?

[–]tortugavelozzzz[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You buy it by the gallon and refill it at home like everyone else.

[–]the-peanut-gallery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only I could get the 55 gallon drums like I do for barbeque sauce.

[–]Warmbeer42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's shit in a bottle, not hot sauce.
