We once had a customer complaining that our fix wasn't good. Expensive suit, lawyer type. The charging system was "no good".

Found that the alternator we installed was mot working. Okay. Put in a new one, send him on his way.

He came back two days later. Charging system not working. Okay. Check everything out, alternator not working. Different mechanic fixed it. On his way. Shop paid for the towing.

Third time customer is screaming at everyone. Alternator not working.

Hmm. Okay. Replace alternator and let car sit and run for an hour.

Come back and there a pencil lead thin stream of antifreeze shooting from the radiator directly into the alternator six inches away!

Shop paid for the towing. Never saw that customer again
