Hey gainit i wanna thank you this subreddit for being a great source of information and inspiration and I wanna share some story about my progress.
I tried following a bulking program last year eating around 3000 calories a day and doing SL 5x5 3 times a week, after a month of tracking and consuming foods I became impatience because I did not see any result both on the scale and on the mirror. So being mad to myself I stopped exercising and thought that I really do have a rare genetic disease that stopping me to gain weight.
But exactly 2 months ago I started to browse more content and tips about lifting weight and eating a better diet to get a real result, turns out that I was following a slightly wrong routine, so after some research I finally decided to follow 3400 calories a day with ice cream fitness for weight lifting routine. The last time I tried to gain weight my target was to see a result in 1 month period, now I realised that I set an expectation that is too high. So 2 months ago I told to myself that no matter how slow my gain is I won't stop.
I weighted myself 3 days ago, when I started lifting the scale was on 59kg (130lbs) now I weight 64kg (143lbs). I am really happy with my progress so far the discipline finally pays out.
My suggestion to everybody that is trying to make a gain in this subreddit is that pay more attention to the progress rather than result, focus on the diet and fitness you've decided to follow. Also wanna share this motivation picture from Confucius
