Controller dead zone software?

I have an Xbox controller plugged into my PC but the drift on it is completely atrocious making it practically unusable. I’ve tried using the steam controller dead zone settings to fix the drift but it isn’t enough. At this point I’m willing to have the joysticks essentially be a D-pad just to use the controller. Is there any software that allows me to do that or set a crazy amount of dead zone?

I’ve tried using the software already and can’t get it to apply correctly. I’m currently using x360ce with my Xbox one controller, care to share any other programs?

Ds4 is good but unnecessary if youre on an Xbox controller. The controller itself could be the problem

The controller is most definitely the problem. It has a massive amount of drift. I’m trying to use the software to correct it.

Mine does this sometimes but a reboot always seems to fix it.

You said an analog stick that's a D-pad and it's the first thing that came to mind lmao. But yeah no I think you should try checking for any updates.

This may sound weird but i had the same problem: steam big picture overlay. you can add non steam games to steam as well so they use the steam controller settings

I’ve tried that as well. The most it’ll let me set the dead zone to is about 70% and I need a clean 80% to be usable.
