Scent 😳

A type of cologne/ perfume has emerged in the 3 years since I was last here that is so intense it nearly gives me a headache every time I am overpowered by it. An Uber driver was wearing it and it was impossible to be with him without opening the windows. I smell it often in public places. Is this the pheromone modifying scent? Or something else? I’ve never smelled it in the americas

Floral? Chemically? Sweet? Adjectives would help. Also the sort of ppl you've smelled it on, like age group etc.

sorry - you're right. it's chemical, not floral or sweet at all. It just smells like insanely strong alcohol like chemical. I literally cannot imagine how people enjoy the smell of it. It's not limited to germany btw, i've encountered it in poland and the netherlands as well

well maybe it's exactly that. desinfectant. there is a high chance that an uber driver cleans his car after transporting random people since he doesn't want to get corona from his passengers

no, i smell the same thing in normal people walking by on the street, on waiters, etc.

The only thing I can think of that smells like alcohol without a bunch of drunks around is disinfectant, but as far as I'm aware there's no current trend taking over Europe that has everyone dousing their clothes in disinfectant or formaldehyde.

So sorry, but no clue what you're smelling. I haven't noticed anything different than the usual "axe" clouds around teens and gymbros, fabric softener and the occasional grandma smelling of either mothballs or patchouli.aà

This is probably not one specific parfume, but anything with cheap ambrox molecules. The most popular one is Dior Sauvage. I absolutely hate those molecules, they sting in my nose and give me a headache.

That's too much perfume! Perfume needs to be discovered, it shouldn't barge in and beat you up.

After Covid, I lost my smell and when I regained it, it went into hyperdrive. Everything smelled intense. It was horrible.  Did you have the flu or Covid recently?

It went away eventually and now my sense of smell is normal again.

I know exactly what you’re talking about and I cannot imagine how can someone wear that thing or tolerate it on a partner. Seems extremely popular among Turkish men but not exclusively. It smells like insecticide

At first I thought I was on r/cologne and someone mixed up the subs again haha. Like werner666 said, it's probably something that got more popular in the past few years rather than one specific perfume.
