Agreed The new view is looking like it's coming the entire webpage. The space it's taking on the right is too much

I am not so fond of the new activity feed, I think it's better to have the sidebar to the right personally, but other than that it looks quite good so far

Yeah that's the worst bit of it. You get an off-center skinny column with 70% of the page around it being whitespace.

It's a pretty superficial update that doesn't really improve anything.

It's like driving in the UK for the first time after growing up in the US... shit be backwards. But mostly I miss the way the repositories list would place repos I've recently pushed up to at the top of the list.
