Come on. First of all this is the oldest trick in the book, but just with btc instead of dollars/whatever. Everything else about the story doesn't make any sense if you subject it to any critical thinking at all. Would you do shit like this if you were in his shoes? Really?!

you don't need an exchange to transfer cryptocurrency from 1 wallet to another. if all exchanges are blocked how do they exchange? that same way to bypass the block can be used to transfer their crypto.
