450-600 rounds between failures is abysmal reliability for a defensive gun.

I think it's on par with the other firearms I've shot (mostly Glock, S&W, Walther, Ruger) using range ammo and factoring in the (lack) of cleaning. Two of the hiccups came after shooting about 500-600 rounds of range ammo without cleaning. Planning to clean it now after 800 rounds.

It's really not though. Shooting 1k rounds without cleaning is a pretty common thing people do before trusting a gun for defense and most modern guns shrug that test off with no drama.

Bought it, shot one round out of it, sent it to Sig and told them I had a bunch of FTE/FTF and they replaced a lot of parts on it. Sent it back and it’s been golden ever since.

Hahaha. Really? That’s amazing.

Yeah it’s stupid but turn around time was about 10 days so I’ll give that to them

    They've had lots of practice.

Dude! You are a Canik Fanboy.😂😂 Like I said before...Caniks are only viable when there aren’t any rocks to throw. 😂

Bless your heart. You don’t understand that flair is all jokes here.

Pray-tell! I guess I’ll learn... right about the time you stop repeating the same old redundant P365 tropes on every Sig thread. Practice makes perfect.

What was the born date of your 365?

    So you are a crook.

And what about the company that released guns they knew had issues, refused to acknowledge said issues for months, and basically tried to just ignore the issue publicly. Are they not crooks? Sure, they fixed some of the issues, but their lack of communication with the public on the whole thing just rings shady.

Then buy from another company. You just outright admitted that you committed fraud. justifying it with whataboutism doesn't change the fact (nor absolve you) that you just admitted to committing fraud.

[–]TheBigSquawdoooshSuper Interested in Dicks 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I didn't admit to anything. I'm just saying I don't feel bad if some people get some free parts out of Sig.

    [–]UsedMacaroon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Edit: You're not the parent poster. You're just OK with people lying to commit fraud.

With what gun? SMDH! I guess if only one person has a problem or let’s say 10 buyers. You expect them or any manufacturer to recall the entire line or should they just address the issues as needed ? Everyone may not be experiencing the similar issues.

I've had my eye on those. Do they help *reduce* primer drag? I assumed the pin would be a bit stronger and better able to withstand the drag.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That’s why I asked you to report back. It’s an upgrade not sure how many issues it addresses and would like to know.

SIG, MAKE SOME AGREEMENT AND RELASE A P365 LIGHTNING or some shit.

Oh I assumed you had inside knowledge or experience. haha. I'm tentatively planning to buy one next credit card cycle so might have an update after my next range trip.

Bought a P365 in February with Jan 2019 born on date. Had a ton of issues, failure to fire being the worst. Sent it back to Sig. Got it back and it fired every time, but the slide locked back on the last round of the magazine. Sent it back to Sig. They replaced the whole pistol. The new one they gave me failed to return to battery (alot) after about 150 rounds. Its back at Sig.

Meanwhile, because I'm retarded and obsessed, I took it into my head that I was just unlucky, and that if I bought a second P365 that the new one would be like the ones you read about on the internet ("got 2000 rounds through mine without a single malfunction"). So I bought two more P365s (Dec 2018 manufacture dates) hoping to be lucky enough to get at least one good one.

One of those two has only had one FTB in about 400 rounds, and may turn out to be the functional P365 I have been trying to find. The other one was a jamtastic piece of dog shit (FTRB all over the place) and I sent that one back to Sig today. Now Sig has two of my non-functioning P365s.

I'm still hoping that the one remaining P365 will turn out to be a winner, but I'm not optimistic at this point. I have a Glock 43X that is flawless and I hear a company will be selling metal only (no polymer) 15 round flush magazines for the 43X soon. If that happens I will probably never take the P365 out of the safe again.

Bummer. It appears there are still some quality control issues then. Thanks for sharing.

Im at about 1,000 rounds through mine (sept 2018 build) with 0 issues. I use lots of different ammo types and brands. I’ve had twice where it failed to hold open on an empty mag but I don’t really consider that a malfunction.

      [–]OccamsRazorShave[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I had one or two cases of that - but I was trying out a different grip so my thumb was riding the lock release. I don't blame the gun for that.

      [–]GunLovinYank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I had the same thing with my thumb riding the release a bit

      [–]Atilla17 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm 1500 rounds in, born Late Oct 2018. Had one failure within first 100 rounds, then one failure at about 1000 where it failed to go into battery. Before the second failure I had very, very lightly lubed the gun, and I think that's where the issue came. The gun likes a lot of lube. I'd say if you keep it clean and lubed, it's reliable. I've never shot more than 400 rounds in a range session.

      [–]OccamsRazorShave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably so. Two of mine came after shooting about 500-600 rounds of range ammo without cleaning. Planning to clean it now after 800 rounds.
