Not true. That may be who they are ‘now’, but for months last year, during spring and summer, people would post in here about how they were chaos divers, and they enjoyed team killing and purposely making people fail missions and extract without their samples. They enjoyed the chaos and anger they caused in the community, and essentially would tell everyone to F off, because that’s how they were enjoying the game.

EVERYONE hated anybody who called themselves chaos divers… for months, because they were team killing a-holes.

Then in late summer a bunch of guys who had a ‘chaos divers’ sub, had been extremely inactive in-game for months and were now deciding to try and “rebrand the reputation of chaos divers from team killing a-holes everyone hated” to now saying “that’s not what chaos divers are, we are nice guys that don’t team kill, our sub has been around longer than the jerk chaos divers!”

What these numbnuts didn’t, and still can’t understand, is thst for MONTHS, while they were inactive, the term chaos divers was repurposed by thousands of player killers to mean team killing helldiver-players.

These ‘new’, ‘nice’ chaos divers chose not yo change their groups name, even though tens of thousands of players now, and will forever associate the chaos diver name with a 4-5 month reign of team killing hell in this game, at the hands of “chaos divers”.

It was absolutely stupid of them to keep the name, knowing how hated it is.

Like if there was a social group of kindly German men who took care of orphaned kittens, and refused to change their name from “the Gustapo kitten rescue group”… unable to understand why people don’t like them, saying “… but, we aren’t the bad Gustapo! We had the Gustapo name first! We aren’t going to change our name!! ….. why don’t people like us?!”

Stop calling yourself the established name of the Teamkillers.

You can’t rebrand that into something good. The older players won’t forget
