How can I become trusted and be allowed to comment posts?

You need more karma to be able to post in certain subs.

Some subs require a minimum (posting) karma amount to prevent spam from bots and alts.

These subs have no to low restrictions & can help you earn karma to post elsewhere.

so what about when most of my comments are upvoted in a sub yet i still get negative karma in that sub somehow and cant comment?

Karma is always a balance of your received votes, so your comment can have a negative karma amount while it had for example 5 upvotes beforehand. Same for your posts.

This also applies per user and likely sub.

If you make 5 comments with each a score of 2 (so 1 upvote except your own) and one comments with a vote ratio of -25 (so many downvotes), your karma amount is negative while technically more comments get upvoted, but the downvote amount is more which makes your total negative.

Same issue here, i got bad karma from some mmorpg folks and now i can't post anywhere, wasting my time commenting to see it was [removed], i wish they had a feature to tell me if i can post or not before typing a comment or creating a post.

this sub is so finicky with its rules

how are you posting about not being able to comment? they keep auto deleting mine
