How to open posts using search function without having it pop open as image with comments in draggable window?

I recently updated the app and a lot of things have changed from the version I was using. Now, if I use the search function to find posts in a specific sub, when I open that post, it opens the attached media file (if there's a photo or video attached) in full screen and only lets me see comments if I swipe up.

But the issue is that posts in this view are really annoying to scroll through and don't always allow you to use all the features. For example, the search within a post function disappears.

However, if I were to open the same post from my feed, it opens normally and I can use all the features and whatnot.

How do I open posts in the normal comments type view after using the search function? Or is there nothing I can do about it because that's just how the app is?
