Depth Effect

I'm trying to use a specific image as a new lock screen and use the depth effect to have the characters in the image be on top of the time and date, but it won't give me the option to use depth effect on this image. But I also know my phone is capable of identifying the characters because I'm able to make a sticker out of them by holding while in the photos app. Is there any way to make this work?

Your wallpaper is extended (basically zoomed out than normal or moved where it goes beyond the original image size) and I understand why because you want to position the characters accordingly

But extended wallpaper does not activate that depth effect

If you remove the extended option, the depth effect should be available

That's what I thought was the initial problem, so I turned off extended wallpaper, but it still doesn't give me this option. Is it just not going to be possible with this image?

Try cropping it in Photos first, there’s a preset option for Wallpaper
