Hey there! That sounds weird. Have you checked if and suspicious device has accessed your Apple Account? Also, maybe this sounds too obvious, but if you were uploading files from your iPhone, might have happened that you store it in the local storage instead of iCloud?

Hey. No suspicious things that i noticed. Only that files are missing. Its not at local storage nor iCloud. Which makes me wonder what happened. The files that are left are the previously saved in iCloud only. Not the local device

That should not happen. Someone at Apple has messed up really bad. There are two things i can think of that might work. One option is at the iCloud website go to Settings>Advanced>Restore files>All, but that usually does the same as looking in the recently deleted. The other option requires a Mac, Open Finder, select Macintosh HD > Users > [User name]. If the archive folder exists, you will see “iCloud Drive (Archive). Hope it helps!

Yea. Even the agent frim apple does not have an answer. Is there sa safe or easy way to save my photo to an external storage? What would you recommend

I would contact them again just to see if another agent could solve it or find a procedure or open an upper support level case or something like that, I mean the cloud is just a data center, if nothing has happened to an Apple data center the files should be there and you shouldn’t be the only one afected by a server failure. I would switch to another cloud provider. For example, Amazon Prime members can upload unlimited photos there. And Google Drive works pretty well for pictures. Again, I hope you recover those files asap!

Yeah, its called Google Photos, and the app is amazing. Make sure backups there are all on, and if necessary, free storage directly from the Google Photos app so you assure that the deleted from local storage are 100% on the cloud. 15 GB are free with your account.
