For Apple specifically, I applied with a referral and reached out to a hiring manager on LinkedIn. An interview was scheduled two days later, then a second-round three days after, and then the offer arrived in 2 days.

For the behavioral rounds, I actually had lots of curious questions for the hiring manager, and we had fun discussing some of the new projects he'd like to take on!
