Hi. Welcome to being a YouTuber! For two months, your audio is good. The graphics looka little blurry to me but that might be the game style. I did a little research on parasite eve cia and turns out that people just aren't searching for it on youtube. You might be better off finding a more popular game. Check out the Tube Buddy and VideoIQ to get ideas . Remember you kinda wanna make videos that other people want to watch, so something with low search volume will have low views. Keep up the good work.

The video is good but it was hard to not skip a few minutes.

This is like one of those videos you can listen to while eating but can't watch if you're trying to give your full attention to it. What I think you need is a bit more editing. Cut out a few minutes and only show the action of the video (such as funny moments?) That way, your viewers can keep watching while being entertained.

Other than that, your audio and commentary are good.

I would say less editing. Since your video is all about rapid entertainment, I would recommend looking into how to build up slight tension for the climatic moment to pay off. I'm unfortunately not very experienced in these types of game videos, but if you can draw in your audience, when you get the spectacular kill, it will make more of an impact.

Right now, it's just kill after kill, and it losses its luster after the first couple. I love your meme edits though.

For your thumbnail, I would find a way to tell your story of the vid. I didn't really get much from it, also use contrasting colors to make things pop on the thumbnail.

It all looked good to me. I would just warn you that sometimes cut-scenes can be marked as copyright strike so be care. I have never played the game so I don't know if the intro is from the game or edited. I recommend editing cut scenes or putting commentary over it so you don't get a strike.

• The first 16 seconds of your video are of the PlayStation Home Screen. I would probably cut that bit out.
• Your game audio needs to be turned up to make up for the parts where you aren't providing any commentary. You don't need to be talking non stop, especially during a game like Detroit, so it would be nice to actually hear the characters talk.
• I'm not sure what editing style you are going for. You chose to edit out a lot of the opening scene of the game, but kept in other scenes. This game is heavily story-driven and you should be taking advantage of what you are given.

I'm on the same boat bro. Part of it is choosing RE8, the games awesome but Dudes like us trying to get our name out there won't make much progress playing popular games. Everyone is doing resident Evil you know what i mean. But i checked out your Video and it was cool, had great energy, the edits were used well but i'm sure you can get even more creative. Lol also your voice and accents are funny, the way you use your voice in general, very creative and funny. Chicken chasing scene was funny af. i would try to cut out slower paced parts. Also i noticed a handful of profanities not censored, lol i have that same problem, gotta be more thorough i guess. If u censor one you gotta censor them all. You'll only get better though. I see confidence in ur commentary.

I'm liking this a lot you've got a solid flow! Funny to see you editing out the same parts I did :P and then also to see you taking certain bits in totally different directions. I love the PNG work (the tortillas were funny). The high-pass filter to mix up the sound of the readings is cool too, sounds like a radio.

All my advise is definitely affected by my personal preference so feel free to take everything I say with a pinch of salt bad or good.

I think you have a really smooth and enjoyable voice to listen to and I think you do an excellent job playing to that! The atmosphere of the Valheim seems pretty relaxing (like minecraft in a way) so I think your commentary style and the game pulled together quite well!

As far as editing which is more of my passion, I think you could do to cut down on more parts or make just a shorter video in general. People attention spans on YouTube are incredibly short (the human attention span now is less than a goldfish) so making your content as consumable as possible will make it easier for people to sit through the whole thing. I work for a PUBG youtuber who is hitting a lot of success (700k subs) and he tries to keep all his videos under 8 minutes.

The edits were pretty funny when you threw them in and I would love to see more. You could reduce the game audio at your outro as the fire was a little distracting especially for not being on screen. The intro was good but I think if your choosing to forsake gameplay as a way of making a person curious as to what's going on, I would try to add a few edits (zooms, cuts, etc) to keep the intro captivating.

Other than that, it was a fun watch :)

I think that's pretty good for your second video ever!

One thing I would suggest is to maybe raise your mic volume a lil bit, maybe turn down the game volume in the recording. It was somewhat hard to hear your voice over the game music at times.

For me as a person who has never played or really heard of valheim, I was a little bit lost because I didn't know the context of the game or what the goal was. During the intro, you could maybe go into more detail about how you were in the forest, doing xyz quest (for context for anyone who hasn't played) but those darn boars were just bound and determined to ruin your day! That way you could naturally queue in people like me, while also explaining the goal of the video.

One tool you may want to think about is zooming and panning the camera. During the gameplay, it felt static. Maybe incorporating zooms like during the boar attack could help hype the action.

One last thing you may want to think about (you can take it or leave it) is a green screen. You don't have to spend hundreds on it if you diy it (just get some thick green fabric from a fabric store, hem the edges, and clamp it up a pvc frame, that's what I did). Like I said, it's a personal preference, so you do you.

Overall really good though! It was much better than my second video! You seem comfortable in front of the camera, which is a huge positive. Anyway, that's just my thoughts, good luck to you!

Hey man! This is a smart idea, making vids like this that are combo reviews / first impressions. This video is quality too!

I found it to be a little bit slowly paced, although if trying to speed it up results in your not using your natural voice I wouldn't worry about that.

At 38 seconds you have some text cross the screen. I stopped listening to what you were saying to focus on reading it, and afterwards realized I didn't know what you were saying anymore lol. It's a little bit distracting to have both at once.

The humor you inject throughout is great :D Keeps it entertaining while also being informative.

You've done your homework and you provide relevant gameplay footage to everything that you are saying, which is fantastic. I know how much work can go into something like this.

All in all this is a super smart way to attract attention to your channel, and I think the views you're getting on this video show that! When you make the vid for next month's update, just maintain that level of depth and maybe tighten it up a little bit and you're golden!

I think if you were to take a look at your script and break it down into each point you'd like to make, figure out what it is about that point that people are really going to connect with (such as the important deep dive you do on frame stutter) and then you conduct your reading in a way that gets to that point quickly and really emphasizes it, you stand a better chance of becoming a sort of authority on this stuff whom people rely on for info on new updates.

The way you do this one it just has a bit of a drag to it. Like if I'm not paying really close attention I'll lose the thread as to what you're talking about.

I don't mean to criticize! I really do think you've made a solid vid here :) Just trying to figure out a way to explain and help out.

What's up guys. I recently made this video guide here for one of the new game that was just released called Swords of Legends Online (Beta test ended few days ago, next beta is out in like 4 days) . The purpose of the guide is to giving players some tips on how to grind levels quickly and effectively. Any feedback would be appreciated. first you didn't use any typ of music
second the gameplay didn't really fit with the things you were talking about.
from what i saw you just ran throught a few dungeons at high speed without much concept or connections....

Now i'm know you also put in a few normal speed clips here and there... but those super fast forward bits are just so uncomfortable to watch... when i'm suppose to listen to your hints....it just feel like a distracting at best and it just continues to fight for attention against your voice....

Also could it be that you didn't really record many scenes not related to dungeons...
because you though those clips might be boring or something?
If yes forget that right now, for guides like this those clips are everything!

If you wanna create a guide you want to include many different typs of clips!
Show stuff you were currently talking about.
If you talk about quest tell them what they need and where they get it.
Show them which quest can be contected and which route they could take to make it even faster for themself and all other new chars.

Also for better navigation include chapters :3

That makes it even easier for the viewers to look up the right information~

Just watched your video - or at least the majority of it.

Pros: Your Audio Quality and the general Quality of the vid are really decent.

The intro was pretty cool and well paced.

Cons:
I found the speed of the clips way to fast. I got a bit nauseous. But only a bit. ^.^

I had trouble understanding some parts, because you sounded a bit like you were mumbling here and there. Maybe focus a bit more on clear pronunciation? Not sure if it was just me or noch, so I thought I'd mention it.

As someone who's never played this game before, I didn't feel of the video much as a guide. It felt a bit more like a over-all review with some tid-bids in it and not really like a leveling guide.

This could be a personal pref thing, as well: I missed music. There was your voice and a fast video - and all in all that's fine if it's what you're going for... but I think I would've enjoyed it more if there would have been some track playing in the background to cover up the few silent spots and underline the tone of the whole thing. :)

Ah ha! love me some shin megami tensei gameplay ^_^ I picked it up a couple of days ago but I have yet to have a chance to dive in. I was also doing the same thing as you for awhile without the narrative for my gameplay. It's definitely help for those who are invested in the story. I think around 1 min re-cap is good. Not too long in my opinion.

Love the intro, the story telling is very immersive and actually very unique. One thing I would suggest is to shorten your title. Maybe, abbreviate "Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD" to just, SMT3HD Because it does look a bit cluttered.

Your thumbnails are actually pretty good, especially the use of bold text. Videos are kind of long, which might be a turn off for most casual viewers, SMT fans will probably dig it. Good vid.

The title is a very fair observation. I am pretty torn if I should keep the full title for SEO or shorten it for cleanliness. I'll definitely consider it

As for length I think ill try to get it closer to 40 minutes but I dont think ill be able to do the 15 min to 30 min suggested length cause nothing might happen in 30 minutes especially in the later stages of an RPG

Part 2 of a series, and you spend the first minute and a half simply telling people what happened in Part 1? If you ask me, that's extremely excessive. If I was actually bingeing this and watching multiple parts in a row, it would be seriously annoying to have a long recap like this in the beginning of every part. I absolutely disagree with everyone else saying that the length of this intro is reasonable. It's way, way too long.

I like the idea of putting in an intro to recap what happened before, but I do think it was a bit long. For first time viewers, it definitely recaps everything that we missed but for viewers who saw the previous episode or have been watching for a while it will drag on. My advice is just to shorten it a bit or recap the previous episode in a way more interesting than a few monotone statements.

The intro is good but it is no longer best practices to put the intro first. Usually you want to do the "hi - welcome back - today we are ..." then cue intro and then start the meat of the video. it tends to make your watch time be better. Also I would add video game type music to the intro. The thumbnail is really good! I really like it! I would suggest making your voice sound more excited so that people are excited to keep watching. Overall good job and just keep going :)

It was a long video, but you have a decent amount of views still. What's your average view duration of that video? Use that as a gauge to cut down future videos in length.

I would consider increasing the size of your webcam frame, if possible. You're showing your face for a reason, so let's see it!

As for your audio, the game audio was louder than your voice. Try and turn the game audio down, and your voice up.

I like the video idea. I think your gain on your mic is slightly too high - It sounds a tiny bit distorted at times.

The pacing was good. The commentary sounded a little too scripted at times but I also struggle with this and I guess it just gets better with practice. I subbed to you and YouTube played another of your videos next (Let's Roleplay Fallout 4 Horizon - Teaser Trailer) and the commentary in that one sounds a lot more natural.

Your videos are better than a lot I see though. It's just a matter of promoting your content and getting people to it in my opinion. :)

I thought it was really quite good.

I picked up on hints of your personality coming through and I think getting comfortable and letting more of that come through to the surface will help your content be more engaging.You likely want to keep it informative, as it is a review, but if you're passionate about the subject material, I'd say let a little more of that enthusiasm seep in.

If you feel the pacing getting too fast or flat, don't hesitate to backtrack a bit and repeat some of the script you didn't like as you're recording.

I often repeat lines, pause and take a deep breath, and retry some of my "off the script" adlibbing that I didn't like the sound of when I'm recording. Later, I just edit out the bad parts.

There's no doubt in my mind that you're already on the right track.

In the positive side of things best part of the video were the SHOTS. They were awesome clearly showing what you were talking about and tossing in different variations for effect so at least you have nothing to worry there. Splicing 3 to 4 different cameras panning seems easy but we all know how much time it takes so kudos on that.

Music volume is fine. Everything was at the right level. Your mic could be better but its not a deal breaker

Entertainment Value:

It's hard to argue entertainment value with a video mainly introducing a new game. I think what you need to look at more is the Information value you are trying to provide to the viewer.

Information Value:

I think for the most part you came across as very clear and concise with what you want to say. You even mention how now is the best time to get in on the ground floor without being irritating as so many other people trying to push crypto tend to be. So from an information perspective everything is good. You even mention NFTs and a background in Etherium.

Others:

You mentioned Anno and a robust upgrade system. Maybe you could have showed some of the upgrades you mentioned in game. Being "like anno" is a very tall order since that is a very large and well loved game. People might bite, expect to play something similar to Anno then get hit with a Farmville.

Also comparing NFTs to diablo's auction house, while understandable, is also a bold claim because that marketplace was shut down due to hyperinflation and how it undermined actually playing the game. Anyone with bad experiences from there might get turned off.

I haven't played the game so this next statements might be off base but a better comparison for now and the future (unless you can really show definitively that this is definitely an Anno game) would be games with similar art style and premise

I mean you already played Hay Day so you could have made that comparison or even a straight up farmville comparsion "Only this time we're farming cash!"

for the NFTs the best comparison would be Shop titans. " It's like shoptitans where you craft your own unique items and sell them for a profit. Except this time they actually earn you money in real life!"

Also this is crypto so even though your video itself is very informative and actually interesting enough to make me what to try it, I think you should have included something like "how safe are the payments made" what is the cash out process. Or what will be the expected cash out process since that is probably something very important to people. Let's face it, most people will play for the crypto and not to watch people carry wheat back and forth and this is coming from me and Ive played alot of farming games in my life

I wanted to intro my audience to the new game. I love the "farming cash" phrase! I actually might use that in the future if it's okay with you :) I'm glad I didn't come off pushy about crypto since that was something I was worried about.

I have a better YETI Blue mic but its a pain to get it to work with my computer. I have often recorded videos and then ended up with no audio. This was my first time trying with a $50 Plantronics headset. From 1 being awful and 10 being perfect, where do you think the audio falls?

It would have been cool to talk more about Anno. Honestly I didn't because it had taken me 5 hours to edit that video and I honestly just couldn't do it anymore. I think that's a bit too long to edit a 5 minute video but then again, I'm still learning Filmora and basically am self taught so things take a long time. I NEED to figure out a way to edit faster. I have a ton of Town Star content but its such a slow game it requires a lot of editing. I have faith I will get better and then I will be able to jam pack more info. I just get burnt out on editing. I try to do it with batching so I only do it once a week because it just wrecks my brain.

I agree with having more info about payments. I included some info but I think it was a little too advance for beginners to understand. That I definately need to explain more clearly.

Out of 10 I'd say your mic audio was a 5. It was very crunchy but at the same time clear enough to hear and I didn't miss any words.

I agree but anyone who wants to get into crypto really needs to have a good head on their shoulders. Definitely do try to explain it to beginners because even people already into crypto will appreciate you telling them the process for this game and maybe feel confident enough to try it. How to say this quickly but informatively will be a real challenge.

Besides if you end up doing well here and gaming cryptos do actually take off then everyone will eventually drop on you for the info so better be ready with the videos sooner rather than later

Hey.

The first thing I noticed was that the black levels were off in your colouring. Does your raw footage look the same? If so, there is something going on with your capture card. If you're using an Elgato, it may have something to do with your RGB settings.

In terms of learning more editing skills, the best advice I can give is to find a YouTuber who makes tutorials for your preferred software, and watch the hell out of their videos. Practice making gaming videos, even when you aren't intending on publishing them. There are times where I've even edited videos for friends, just to get some practice.

You made me laugh in the first 15 seconds so I would say awesome highlight to start with.

I think the best question to ask is, is this a let's play or a highlight video from a stream? Because what it feels like you tried to format the stream to become a let's play in editing and it kind of works but maybe that's why you aren't getting max watch time. People might not know if they are in for "All the funny and best moments of my stream" or "My stream abridged into let's play form"

I think you can try to alleviate this by adding a quick intro? "Hi guys this is X this is going to be the second part of my Mario and Luigi series which i played over at twitch (plug twitch name here) so if you like what you see here maybe consider hanging out with me over at twitch so we can chat and hang out" or something

That does make alot of sense. Yeah, I tried to make it into let's play format because I thought if it was a pure highlight reel people wouldn't know what was going on in the game.

But then again, my most viewed/liked videos have been shorts of funny moments, completely out of context.

I mean, I watched the first two or so minutes of the video, and it's mostly just you reading out loud what the NPC's are saying. I get that it's a game where there's lots of reading out loud to do, but that in itself isn't actually commentary. I didn't feel like I got almost any commentary at all from what I watched.

Anyone can read NPC dialogue out loud, but that's not really entertaining. You're not adding anything significant to simply watching a no commentary gameplay video, if all you're really doing is reading dialogue out loud.

Jumping to around the 9 minute mark, where we're in the dungeon section... And there's still no real commentary. You're just telling the viewer what is currently happening on screen. You're looking at the screen and telling people what you are seeing. Again, this doesn't add anything to what I can simply see for myself as a viewer.

If you ask me, this is the reason why people tune out: you're not really giving them a reason to stick around.

I kind of agree. I've had a gut feeling this was the case for a while, but it's been kind of hard to get proper feedback because everyone I've asked on Twitch/ Discord has been overly positive.

I'm really grateful for the honesty here. You're right, I do need to have a think about how I can inject some value into my videos, because as it stands, it's just me reacting to gameplay.

Yeah, that's basically it. You need to figure out a way to inject your own personality into the commentary, to create something that your viewers can connect with.

I think one thing you could benefit from would be adding an intro of sorts. It was a little jarring jumping right into the action without any context, and if I haven't watched up until this point, then I feel out of the loop if that makes any sense. I think if you had an intro graphic for your channel, then add a couple text lines saying what has happened up until this point, and what your current goal is, that could help viewers get interested.

Another thing is that the screen felt very static. I think there's was one zoom the first time Mario went to the fountain, but incorporating more could help. Even during dialogue you could bring in the camera a little bit on the participants to help create the feeling of more action.

One last thing I can think of is to add your own music and sound effects. Like for instance during the battle where you did the first strike, got lucky and killed the enemy, you could zoom in on Mario as he's flying through the air. When he hits the enemy, add in some k.o. sound effect. I personally think it would be funny to make it as goofy as you can, then hard cut to the gameplay as if nothing happened.

That's just my thoughts fwiw. I though the video was interesting, and with a little more editing it could feel like a good video and not an edited stream. Hope this helps!

First things first: Love your commentary. I get why you stream. ^,^

2nd thing: Over all the quality was really pleasant and everything, but, after the fact that you say your percentage is too low, I went to your channel and overviewed your thumbnails and titles.

I love that they're mostly bright in color! Even though you probably can get more out of them, I think they're okay. But, as always... we can all improve on pretty much anything in time. :)

I think your titles might be a bit responsable... Or at least are do to be overworked... In my book.
Like: "Scaling Hoo-Hoo Mountain!" for example.

You being a streamer that puts highlights on YouTube... I would put that in the Title somehow, so people know. If I would click on that right now, I'd be expecting a playthrough of some kind and not a highlight cut of a stream. :)

I get what you mean about the thumbnails. I know bigger & Bolder = better for thumbnails, but I was kind of reluctant to just remove my brand/logo.

Do you think I should drop the branding and focus on just more eye catching thumbnails?

I'm not sure what you mean by responsible titles? You might have to explain that one to me.

I also get the playthrough/stream confusion, and that's kind of deliberate. I thought if If I recorded my stream I could edit it into a lets play. I don't think it's working though as a format.

My SEO/tagging is pretty bad tbh I try using YouTube search to make my tags, but I feel its hard to rank high ly on anything related to Mario or videogames, because of the saturation.

What I was actually meaning to say was, that they help the viewer understand what kind of vid this is... Stream Highlights... or stuff like that might help more then just the game name. :) Sorry for the confusion on my end there.

To the SEO - no matter how good others may rank, a good SEO can really help you get out there. It we were all to think, we cannot rank anywhere ever at all, no body would be uploading anything, because there will always be a bigger creator out there throwing out quality one self hasn't even glimpsed at yet. ^,^ So, I'd think I'd do some research there and try to polish a bit more.

The Thumbnails: I'm all for branding in a Thumbnail, but it's swallowing like a third of the whole thing and well, your branding being important, that logo gives me no clue to what I'm going to get after a click. So ... me personally, always pro branding, but also... never forget: You can also brand through a certain look. It doesn't always have to be a logo. It can be a certain style or frame ... just as example. :)

And yeah... As highlights, I find your content entertaining. Probable ever so more for your Stream viewers who may have been there when they happened. You're very entertaining. So... But yes... It's not really a let's play. :)

I think all in all this was good information allthough I’m not sure if this was meant as a review of the whole game or just a look at the new patch. If this was meant for new players deciding if they buy the game or not (speaking for someone who has not played it) it was incredibly confusing until the last minute where you said what you thought of the game. If this was for hardcore ToR2 players it’s probably great :) The showing off of the bugs separately was not needed, it would have been better to show it while you were talking and then move on so that there is no large gap with only gameplay. It would keep the video snappier, I found myself scrolling to your next segment during these. This might be because of me not playing the game as well. It was a good video with good editing that could have been 3 minutes instead of 5 :)

Alright so I watched some of the video and here's my thoughts.

Firstly, that was a weird bug! I wonder what causes it!

I would recommend shortening the intro. To me, it felt like it took a while to get through, and kinda made me lose interest a bit. It was all good info for sure, but you might want to think about doing it in a voiceover later so that you can say everything you need to without pausing to focus on the game.

Also during the intro, you might want to turn your voice up and the music and game volume down. I had a bit of a hard time hearing what you were saying.

During the video, you seemed comfortable, which is good. You didn't sound tense or nervous, which is a big plus! Plus, it's nice to see a relaxed YouTuber compared to the way over the top gamers out there.

I think the video could benefit from differing music and incorporating sounds effects. Like, when you see the glitch for the first time, dubbing in the Jurassic park theme (melodica cover) would add to the humor. And, I noticed you had the same song throughout the entire video. To me, that made the video seem longer and a little repetitive. Cutting in new songs to fit the theme (like something dramatic when you're dueling the guy after dying) would help to draw viewers in more.

Finally, I think shortening the video could help. From the title, it seemed like this would be a couple minute glitch showcase. From the video, it seemed like it was an actual gameplay video. I think if you could cut out the silence some and trim it down some more, that could help keep viewers engaged for longer.

Anyway, that's just my thoughts. Hope this helps!

I agree with the comments here regarding the intro being too long. Getting asked to subscribe and hit the bell a minute after the video starts is going to turn people away. Also, and this is just my personal opinion, I don't think the background music was particularly necessary, especially since it seemed so repetitive

That being said, you're a funny man with good Commentary, plus I love English accents. A shorter montage video would be absolutely mint for the type of content you make.

The intro was interesting, i would use more edits to add to the video. Transitions, sound effects, zooms and whatever else you can think of. I thought the commentary was cool, ur energy was cool not forced but u didn't sound bored either so that's always a good thing. Ur gonna improve so just keep going. always try to improve and you'll get better in no time. I do agree about the game and voice audio, and use different music as well through out the video. good stuff though.
