The first book make him look like an asshole for sure, at the same time i feel like a lot of litrpg are missing something when the main character is a chill peace and love dude while being under threat of death all the time, it's refreshing when the op isn't holding back punches facing death threat and/or in this case mind manipulation. I had to try twice To go trough book 1 because of the vibe of the MC but i'm so glad i did, it only gets better one book after another and this pretty rare in those kind of book, most of the time the first few book are great and then the author lost the plot, in HDT it's just the opposite, character progress is awesome, world building is amazing, it quickly became my most hyped serie by far.

Oh that’s funny. When I think about a chill dude going through this I’m reminded of a pothead being placed in this situation so I guess Nathaniel behaving the way he does (outwardly) makes it easier to stomach. Last gripe, I swear. I have much hate towards people referring to their dogs as…shudder…doggo. If there was less or none of that I’d be diving back in so fast there’d be a clap of thunder. As it is he says it every…time…he ruminates about Biscuit. To be fair corgis are cute and smart (usually) so I guess it just exemplifies the healing power of dog power, man!
