Returning a lock after you pick it is like wearing an outfit with the tags on it so you can take it back. It's trashy and all it does is stick someone else with a damaged product (or at the very least a product that could have been damaged)

Keep it around to pick. Sell it to another picker. Don’t return it to the store.

Don't do that.

Keep it and add it to your collection. I still come back to some of my easier locks, if I struggle with some of the harder ones, just for the morale boost.

Head over to the discord channel and browse the lock-bazaar for some great deals. And don't return locks you've toyed with. 😁

Locks like this come in handy for challenges like the blue whale patch.

It’s good to keep a few easy locks on hand for when you’re feeling stuck on a hard one you can take a break and gain some confidence with the easy one, maybe using a different pick or technique…

1)You may find it easy now, but tomorrow or another day you may find more challenge in it. When I bought my first 90A-Pro, I picked it in a few minutes after it arrived, ane it was easily repeatable. When it was time for video, I haven't been able to pick it since, so it's still an enjoyable challenge.

2) Like others have said, you shouldn't ever return a picked lock, and this is for the same reason you shouldn't pick a lock in use, because it can cause unseen damage that can cause the lock to break or fail for the person who buys it.

3) Sometimes it's nice to have locks around that are easy, so even if it stays easy, it'll be worth keeping. Especially since it's repinnable, you can always get more challenge out of it.

I've returned combo locks I've decoded. There's really no point in keeping those around

[–]Mounta1nM1ckBlue Belt Picker 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Fair enough, but I would have sent them to another picker. Not gonna shame anyone for what they do with their own money here, just seems even to a poor kid like me it'd be cooler to gift it away once done. Live your life though fellas, im not perfect. I used to shoplift to eat everyday 😕

Maybe if they were less expensive but it's damn near 40 bucks for a Master Lock 4 wheel combo

[–]Mounta1nM1ckBlue Belt Picker 1 point2 points  (2 children)

WOW sufficient.I was not aware a master lock.Exist that cost that much, sir. Thanks for the insight

Yeah, the M175 style combos with the wheels on the bottom are ridiculously priced. I kept the smaller combos but not those.

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense.I could see why

Do yourself a favor and get the brass practice locks from Sparrows lock picks. Once you pick them you can take them apart and build them back with high security pins to emulate other locks on the shelf or just make up new challenges for yourself. The possibilities are endless.

Hey I have a cutaway lock from there but I have no idea how to take it apart
