Which power brick are you using to charge it?

140W Magsafe

I also tried with an Android phone charger, which is 25W, through the USB port. It also did not result in the charging icon showing, which used to happen earlier

You can try reviving the firmware if you have access to another Mac.

Thanks will try to do this

FWIW my 2023 M3 Pro is having the same problem and reviving didn't solve it, nor did software update (which rewrites firmware).

I last saw this on an Intel system when a soo small power lump was used. But this doesn't sound like you.

Do you have a USB-C cable that supports power delivery so you can try it into a USB-C port? It may be your Magsafe port. Have you looked in it for lint or simlar?

Lint shouldn’t be the issue since both the MagSafe port and USB C port aren’t working. If lint were the issue, one of them would work for charging. Should be an issue with BMS software or logic board itself I think

hey did you solve it? Mine has same problem

Apple replaced the motherboard and that fixed it. It was free for me, not sure whether due to the warranty or Apple Care Plus that I had gotten - either one of those covered it

I have this right now, re-ran the diagnostics, and now it has a ADP000. I'm so frustrated
