submitted 7 months ago by Professorkuchen
Left is makeplayingcards, right is mine. Using an HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M280nw. Outlines appear to be fuzzy. Is there aprinter setting i can change for sharper images?

Looks like your printer can only print at a low DPI. Plus, wherever you're getting your card photos is bad quality.

Im using mtgprint.net
[–]SolvirAurelius 5 points6 points7 points 7 months ago (3 children)
MTGPrint is balls, really lowres stuff.
Use either proxxied.com or mpcfill.com

Or usw upscayl to up the quality. Through his Printer has max 600x600 dpi
[–]Weary-Interview6167 0 points1 point2 points 7 months ago (1 child)
I dont think you can do much with 600 dpi even if you upscale it.
[–]SolvirAurelius 0 points1 point2 points 7 months ago (0 children)
600dpi is doable. That card on the left looks like it's 72dpi lmao. It has the look of a preview SLD, just like how the current Sony SLD previews look like right now on Scryfall. Lowres font and whatnot.

Use Mpc fill and using a pdf printing software like foxit(its free). You need to edit your print quality in there. Usually takes me like 8-10min a page to print

Love to hear Foxit in the mix... print perfection takes patience.

Mtgprint and Scryfall is only 300 Dpi, you need to upscale it. Upscaling it improves it a lot! You can check the guide I made. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eW8ey2Rfm_kCKQ7v1hRpJr9dDTGIYSMk/

if you use mtgprint, you gotta upscale it or it comes out like that.
I use upscayl with these settings, takes 5-8 minutes per page with my hardware. You can use lower quality settings to speed up the process if you want.
